Finally received a bug report for work that is not our bug, but caused by Debian's packaging of our software.

Debian's own packages of Go projects generally replace carefully curated pinned go.mod dependencies with whatever version of the dependency is packaged in Debian. Surprised we haven't had a bug report already TBH.

There is definite friction between how you canonically work in languages like Go and the traditional 'every dep as a distro package' approach.
